A very very interesting read. Thank you for being brave in both writing and sharing your opinion and thoughts. There is much I agree with, we do need to be more diverse and hiring a diverse team is definitely one strong way. I understand what you are implying, race and gender are one area of diversity, there is also culture, intellectual and many more but if we don't even consider diversity in general how can we ever call ourselves good designers.
